Free Fire City Open Tournament: Prize Pool & Cities
Free Fire City Open (FFCO) is an online tournament announced exclusively for the Indian audience. During this event, players will get a chance to represent their city at the national level. Notably, this event will last four months. Here are all cities that will take part in this tournament:
DELHI (Delhi) LUCKNOW (Uttar Pradesh) MUMBAI (Maharashtra ) AHMEDABAD (Gujarat ) HYDERABAD (Telengana) CHENNAI (Tamilnadu ) VIZAG (Andhra Pradesh) KOLKATA (West Bengal)
We may have listed down only a few cities but they will represent the entire state. Players living in the above-mentioned state can get themselves registered for their representative city. Notably, there are two Wildcard Finals, providing an opportunity to two cities that have not been listed here. The top 12 teams from each city will be shortlisted for the City finals. The process would be similar to cities selected in Wildcard Finals. The top 2 cities from each city will play the National finals.
Free Fire City Open: Format and Schedule
Qualifiers -30th April 2021
On April 30, 2021, Qualifiers will take place between 4 PM- 9 PM IST. Each team will have to play at the last five matches during the mentioned time. The top 12 teams from each City or region will be qualified for Regional Finals including Wildcard Finals.
Regional Finals – (June 15 To July 9)
The top 12 teams of each region play in Regional Finals, which is scheduled to take place between June 15 to July 9. The Regional Finals qualifiers will get an opportunity to play for the National Finals. Teams getting 2nd and 4th positions from each region will move to Regional Play Ins.
Regional Play-Ins – (July 16 to July 23)
Teams getting 2nd and 4th position from each Regional Finals also be given a second chance to qualify for National Finals. Notably, there are a total of 24 teams that will participate in Regional Play In to move further. The top 2 teams from Regional Play Ins will get their place in the FFCO National Finals.
Wildcard Finals (July 30)
Similar to all 8 regions mentioned above, the top 12 teams of Wildcard Regions will take part in the Wildcard Finals. The top 2 teams from Wildcard Finals will be qualified for the National finals.
National Finals
The National Finals of FFCO is scheduled to take place on Independence Day this year (August 15, 2021). All 12 teams will fight for a prize pool of Rs 60 lakh.
How To Register For Free Fire City Open (FFCO) Tournament?
Similar to other events, there are certain requirements that need to complete to participate in Free Fire City Open tournament. The first and foremost thing is your level should be either 40 or higher with a Diamond 1 Rank. Once you meet the requirement, here are few simple steps that you will need to follow to register for the FFCO tournament.
Launch Free Fire and click on the FFC Cup, which can be found on the right side of the main lobby. To get an overview of the event, click on the Yellow Arrow. When you click on the banner, you will be taken to the FFCO lobby, showing information like match schedule, scoring, prize pool, and more. Click on the Squad button in the lobby to either join or create a team. Make sure to submit all the required information such as squad name, contact info, region, etc., to create a team or request to join a team from the Friends/Applications list. If you get yourself successfully registered, you will get eight tickets that can be used during the scheduled time. As we have mentioned above, Matchmaking will begin on April 30th from 4 PM IST to 9 PM IST. Once you joined or created a Squad, you can start the game by clicking on the ‘Start Game’ in the FFCO lobby.
